เดวิด โบวี่ เป็นที่รู้จักกันดีในฐานะนักแสดงเพลงป๊อปที่มีชื่อเสียง เมื่อเกิดเขาใช้ชื่อ เดวิด โจนส์ และเปลี่ยนชื่อใหม่เป็นโบวี่ ในปี 60 เพื่อหลีกเลี่ยงความสับสนกับนักร้องที่มีชื่อเสียง เดวี่ โจนส์
