:: ประวัติย่อ :: เธลมา สกูนเมกเกอร์ เป็นเจ้าของสองรางวัลตุ๊กตาทองจากผลงานลำดับภาพให้กับภาพยนตร์ของมาร์ติน สกอร์เซซี เรื่อง “The Aviator” และ “Raging Bull” เธอยังได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงรางวัลออสการ์จากผลงานในภาพยนตร์อีกสองเรื่องของสกอร์เซซี “Gangs of New York” และ “GoodFellas” ในช่วงก่อนหน้านั้นสกูนเมกเกอร์ได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงรางวัลออสการ์ครั้งแรกในฐานะผู้ควบคุมการลำดับภาพสารคดีเรื่อง “Woodstock” ซึ่งเธอได้ร่วมห้องตัดต่อกับสกอร์เซซีและคนอื่นๆ นอกจากนั้นสกูนเมกเกอร์ยังได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้าชิงรางวัล BAFTA Awards สาขา Best Editing จากเรื่อง “GoodFellas” และ “Raging Bull” และยังได้รับเกียรติจากรางวัล Eddie Awards จากเรื่อง“The Aviator,” “Gangs of New York” และ “Raging Bull”
สกูนเมกเกอร์ได้พบกับสกอร์เซซีระหว่างการเข้าคอร์สหกสัปดาห์ช่วงซัมเมอร์ที่ New York University’s Film School สองสามปีถัดมาเธอก็ได้ลำดับภาพให้กับหนังเรื่องยาวเรื่องแรกของเขา “Who’s That Knocking at My Door” ต่อมาพวกเขาได้ร่วมงานกันอีกในเรื่อง “Raging Bull” นับแต่นั้นมาเธอก็ได้ลำดับภาพให้กับหนังทุกเรื่องของผู้กำกับฯ รวมทั้ง “The King of Comedy,” “After Hours,” “The Color of Money,” “New York Stories,” “The Last Temptation of Christ,” “Cape Fear,” “The Age of Innocence,” “Casino,” “Kundun” และ “Bringing Out the Dead” รวมทั้งหนังเรื่องที่กล่าวถึงก่อนหน้านร้ สกูนเมกเกอร์ยังได้ลำดับภาพให้กับสารคดีหลายเรื่องของสกอร์เซซี รวมทั้ง “A Personal Journey with Martin Scorsese Through American Movies” และ “Il Mio Viaggio In Italia” (“My Voyage to Italy”)
