เรบินเป็นหนึ่งในบรรดาผู้ประพันธ์เพลงภาพยนตร์รุ่นใหม่ที่ก้าวเข้ามาจากโลกแห่งเพลงร็อค เขาเป็นสมาชิกวงดนตรีร็ค YES ตั้งแต่ปี 1983 เรบินเล่นกีต้าร์ให้กับวงและเขียนเพลงเกือบทั้งหมดให้กับอัลบั้มที่ขายดีที่สุดของวง 90125 รวมทั้งซิงเกิ้ลหมายเลขหนึ่ง “Owner of a Lonely Heart” เขายังได้เขียนเพลงส่วนใหญ่และเป็นโปรดิวเซอร์ร่วมในอัลบั้มถัดมาของวง YES - Big Generator, ซึ่งมียอดจำหน่ายกว่า 2 ล้านแผ่นทั่วโลก เรบินยังเขียนและร่วมเขียนเพลงทุกเพลง เล่นเครื่องดนตรีทุกชนิดยกเว้นกลอง ผลิต และเรียบเรียงเกือบทุกเพลงในอัลบั้มเดี่ยวของเขา
