:: ประวัติย่อ :: แอล แอล คูล เจ หรือ เจสม์ ทอดด์ สมิท เกิดวันที่ 14 มกราคม 1968 ที่เบย์ชอว์ ลองไอแลนด์ เขาเป็นลูกชายของ เจมส์ และออนเดรีย สมิท ทอดด์เป็นชื่อที่ถูกเรียก ในวัยเด็กเขาไม่ค่อยมีความสุข เมื่อตอนอายุได้ 4 ขวบ เขาเป็นแม่และยายต้องทนทุกข์จากบาดแผลถูกยิงด้วยปืนจากพ่อของเขาเองที่ทำร้าย
