:: ประวัติย่อ :: ริป ทอร์น (แพทเชส โอฮูลิฮาน) ได้รับเกียรติติดต่อกันสำหรับผลงานในวงการบันเทิงทั้งจอแก้วจอเงินและเวทีการละครที่ผ่านมากว่า 50 ปี
บทบาทที่ต้องส่งเสียงอึกทึกของ อาร์ตี้ ในผลงานทอล์คโชว์ของ แกร์รี่ ชานด์ริง “The Larry Sanders Show” ทำให้เขาได้รับรางวัลเอ็มมี่ในปี 1996 สำหรับดาราสนับสนุนชายยอดเยี่ยมในภาพยนตร์คอมเมดี้ และ สองรางวัล เคเบิ้ล เอซ อวอร์ด หนึ่งรางวัล อเมริกัน คอมเมดี้ อวอร์ดและ ได้รับการเสนอชื่อเข้ารับรางวัลเอ็มมี่ติดต่อกันถึงหกครั้ง

ทอร์น กำกับการแสดงละครเวที เรื่อง “Richard II” เรื่อง “Walter” และเรื่อง “Look Away” ซึ่งในเรื่องหลังนี้ร่วมแสดงโดย เจอราดีน เพจ และกวีคือ มายา แอนเจลู เขาได้กำกับการแสดงและร่วมแสดงในเรื่อง “Two By Checkhov” และเรื่อง “The Village Wooing” ทอร์นยังได้สร้างเรื่อง “The Button” และเรื่อง “Spider Rabbit” และกำกับการแสดง ร่วมผลิตและร่วมแสดงในเรื่อง “The Bearding of the President”
ผลงานทางภาพยนตร์ที่สร้างชื่อของทอร์นยังรวมไปถึงเรื่อง “Pork Chop Hill” เรื่อง “Sweet Bird of Youth” (โดยนำมาจากบทบาทของเขาจากละครบอร์ดเวย์) เรื่อง “King of Kings” เรื่อง “The Cincinnati Kid” เรื่อง “Tropic of Cancer” เขายังได้เป็นที่ปรึกษาให้กับภาพยนตร์ที่ได้รับรางวัลออสก้าร์เรื่อง “Harlan County USA”
